T IN THE PARK – Final Ticket Sale February

News Update:

The final batch of TITP 2012 tickets go on sale in February 2012.

A limited release of T in the Park tickets went onsale this morning at 9am, and organisers DF Concerts and founding partner Tennent’s Lager have been overwhelmed by the phenomenal demand from fans, who quickly snapped up the Christmas allocation.

This morning was the first chance for music lovers to get their hands on tickets since organisers thrilled fans by announcing The Stone Roses as the first headline act of the festival in early November.

This morning’s on sale saw half of the total allocation of festival tickets disappear fast. The entire festival bill will be announced over the coming months with the final batch of tickets going on sale in February 2012.

Festival Director Geoff Ellis said: “We’re delighted by the response from fans this morning and can’t wait to see everyone at Balado next year. The response to The Stone Roses announcement has been fantastic and the rest of the bill is shaping up nicely – we can’t wait until February to share it with the best audience in the world.”

For those not lucky enough to have already guaranteed their place at Balado next summer, the final batch of T in the Park tickets will go on general sale in February 2012

T in the Park 2011 went off in spectacular style in Balado to the tune of storming sets from Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, The Strokes, Beyoncé, Pulp and Tom Jones to name just a few, and rapturous applause from 85,000 of the most passionate music fans each day – another roaring success for everyone involved.

2012 will see T in the Park bring the finest acts on the planet, world class musical performances, the biggest beats around and the most passionate music fans in the world together again for the best weekend of the summer and fans can secure their place now by taking advantage of the early bird sale.

Next year’s event will take place on 6th – 8th July 2012, and fans can secure their place at Balado early. Early bird tickets go on sale for T in the Park 2012 at 9am on Thursday 14th July from Ticketmaster.

A limited number of T in the Park 2012 tickets will be available at 2011 prices with all ticket types available. To buy log onto www.tinthepark.com or www.ticketmaster.co.uk or call 08444 999 990.

About MUSIC NEWS Scotland

MUSIC NEWS Scotland was born 12 years ago when dial up broadband was still around and desktop pc’s ruled. So we did what had been done since 220 AD in China and every month put ink on a printing plate, ran some paper over it and hey presto MNS was published (okay it was a wee bit more involved than that, but the basic principle was the same!) Move on to 2011 with high speed broadband and access to the www everywhere and the future was catching up with us rapidly. The volume of information flowing into MNS HQ was more than our monthly issue could cope with, and more and more Scottish music stories of great value were being spiked (an old press term not a dodgy drink). Reaching our vast number of readers in every conceivable nook and cranny of Scotland has always been a challenge monthly but to do that more often was physically not feasible. So we have doffed oor tam o’ shanter to the future and MNS is now a weekly digital publication, and not only weekly now but twice the number of pages than our old printed friend! Along with our weekly GIGguide and FESTIVALS! supplement we are now producing 72 pages of Scottish music news (and only music news) each and EVERY week:) We remain as true as ever to our launch roots of 8 years ago though - MUSIC NEWS Scotland supports all Scottish bands and performers no matter what style of music you’re involved in. Our aim is to circulate music industry news and to help to raise the profile of musicians and improve communications between genres. To help achieve this copies of MUSIC NEWS Scotland are emailed to key industry contacts throughout the UK. Thank you for your support over the last 8 years and please raise a glass to our digital future with you all. Thanks for your support, The MNS team!
